Scientific Meeting of the Review Committee for the Diploma in “Chemical and Biological Sciences in Forensic Evidence”

Today (14th October 2024), Prof. Dr. Hazem Elmeshneb, Dean of the College, and Prof. Dr. Hussein Abdelhafez, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, formally met with Dr. Walid Farouk, representative of the civil society from the Forensic Medicine Authority in Sohag, along with the committee formed to review the Diploma in Chemical and Biological Sciences in Forensic Evidence. During the meeting, they discussed the requirements for preparing the diploma, its importance, and the qualification as well as training of faculty graduates. The Dean emphasized the significance of the suggested diploma in preparing more capable cadres, equipping them with foundational knowledge and biological and chemical training to understand, analyze, and interpret crimes, which supports professionals in the forensic investigation sector. He added that the diploma aims to prepare specialized graduates in forensic evidence and to equip them through study and training, applying chemical and biological sciences in forensic evidence to solve various issues. He further noted that scientific and technological advancements have brought about fundamental changes in the nature of crime, making it essential to keep up with these developments and utilize them in uncovering crime details through scientific methods, alongside legal approaches.
