educational symposium titled:Future Visions for Eco-Friendly Renewable Energy

In continuation of the presidential initiative Beginningfor building the Egyptian Citizen, the Faculty of Science organized an educational symposium titled, Future Visions for Eco-Friendly Renewable Energy, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, and Prof. Dr. Hazem Elmeshnip, Dean of the Faculty of Science, with leadership by Prof. Dr. Alaa Yosri, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Khalaf Hammad Gad, Head of the Physics Department. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Mahrous Rashad Ahmed, a Professor in the Physics Department.

The symposium focused on various sources of renewable energy—such as solar, wind, hydroelectric, tidal, and wave energy, as well as solar cells—and how they can be effectively harnessed and implemented in practical applications to reduce emissions and pollution. This is in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030.

Prof. Dr. Hazem Elmeshnip emphasized that the event aims to raise awareness about the significance of renewable energy as a safe future for coming generations and a fundamental pillar in Egypt’s Vision 2030, particularly due to its role in achieving sustainable development and reducing reliance on traditional energy sources that cause severe environmental and human health impacts.

The symposium concluded with extensive scientific discussions among attendees, highlighting comparisons between renewable energy types and their economic feasibility
