Educational seminar on Artificial Intelligence (AI)

In continuing the activities of the presidential initiative Beginningfor building the Egyptian Citizen, the Faculty of Science held an educational seminar on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The event was held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, and Prof. Dr. Hazem Elmeshnip, Dean of the Faculty of Science, with Prof. Dr. Hussein Abdel Hafiz, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Islam Mohamed Ahmed, Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Computers and Information Technology.

The seminar addressed the concept of artificial intelligence, its importance, and its various applications, with a special focus on practical uses and modern e-learning methods. Prof. Dr. Hazem Al-Mashneb noted that this seminar aimed to train young researchers and junior faculty members on the use of advanced technology, honing their skills to keep pace with rapid advancements in AI. The session emphasized preparing attendees to meet future challenges and support Egypt’s national goals, in line with Vision 2030.

Prof. Dr. Hussein Abdel Hafiz highlighted the importance of such seminars in equipping participants with technological skills across various disciplines that support the educational process. He added that the seminar aimed to maximize the benefits of AI applications in education, which serve as an entry point for enhancing human resource efficiency, preparing participants to keep pace with scientific progress, and assisting in the development of smart learning strategies to improve educational performance and personal skill-building among young researchers and junior faculty members.
