“Five Recently Developed Bachelor’s Degree Programs have been Accredited in the Credit-hour System of the Faculty of Science at Sohag University”

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research has approved updates to the internal regulations at the Faculty of Science at Sohag University regarding the credit hours that will be used for the bachelor’s degree program. A total of five new programs are being added with expenses, including molecular biology and parasites, molecular biotechnology, biochemistry, biophysics, and mathematical statistics and programming. The Dean of the Faculty of Science at Sohag University, Prof. Hazem Al-Meshneb, stated as much.

This newly enacted regulation, according to Prof. Hazem Al-Meshneb, the Dean of the College, permits the college to offer a variety of specializations within its curriculum, to better meet employers’ needs for multidisciplinary specializations. Furthermore, he emphasizes that the preparation and review of these programs have been carried out by a committee of faculty members. These members of the committee have been involved in preparing study regulations in the past, and they have experience in this area. Moreover, he stated that the preparation committee has been working on these amendments for several months through numerous workshops and meetings.

The newly enacted regulation will be implemented at the beginning of the upcoming academic year, according to Prof. Zakaria Attia Mohamed, Vice-Dean for Education and Student Affairs. According to this regulation, high school students nominated for admission to the College of Science may enroll in these programs corresponding to their wishes, as well as first-level students who wish to apply for admission.
