The applicant must have obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in science at least five years prior to the date of applying for the degree.
To submit innovative published research that he has not previously submitted to obtain any scientific degree, and the following should be taken into account:
The submitted scientific production should include research in English.
That the applicant have a Hirsch coefficient of not less than 15, a number of citations of not less than 1000 in Scopus, a Google Scholar coefficient of not less than 40, and a number of citations of not less than 2000 in Google Scholar, which strengthens the position of the applicant with the arbitrators.
C- Submit a written statement of the scientific theses he supervised in English and his role in supervising.
The applicant should show the general trends of his research, the tangible benefit he provided to science in joint research, and the dissertations he supervised.
In addition, the applicant may submit a statement of the innovative and unpublished scientific and construction activities that indicate new additions to science.
The student of the degree submits his scientific production to the dean of the college, and the dean of the college presents it to the college council, and the council transfers the scientific production of the applicant to a committee specialized in this degree to address professors in the same specialty from among those who hold a doctorate in science (Sc.) or one of the specialized scientific associations from Outside the country to obtain the approval of three examiners, who are approved by the College Council to evaluate the submitted scientific production.
The members of the judging committee submit individual reports on the originality of the applicant’s research in his field of specialization and the validity of the applicant’s scientific production to recommend the granting of the degree. Granting is done by consensus of the opinions of the members of the jury.
The certificate for the degree of Doctor of Science (Sc) shall indicate the applicant’s specialization.
