The Department of Zoology is one of the six pillars on which the Faculty of Science, Sohag University, is built.
The department specializes in various studies, including all branches of biology, except for those branches of botany
The department pays great attention to the educational aspect of the student stage, as the department seeks to prepare a highly qualified graduate who is familiar with science and basic knowledge and has the ability to keep pace with the rapid scientific changes at the regional and international levels.
The department also pays great attention to the research aspect and providing all possible and necessary research tools for researchers to conduct their research, especially young researchers, as well as motivating them to publish locally and internationally.
