As part of fostering team spirit and promoting fair competition among students, the Faculty of Science launched its Five-a-Side Football Championship as part of the 2025/2026 University Sports Festival. The event was held under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of the University, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Hazem Al-Mashneb, Dean of the Faculty. The championship was led by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Aleem, Student Activities Coordinator, and supervised by Mr. Mubarak Sabry, Director of the Youth Welfare Department.
The tournament, held on the Sohag University sports fields, witnessed strong participation and high enthusiasm from students and members of the teaching assistant staff. A total of 24 teams, consisting of more than 300 students from various departments and academic levels, competed in an energetic and highly sportsmanlike atmosphere.
