Overview

The importance of the Legal Department stems not only from its role as the department responsible for implementing laws and regulations, providing legal advice, and other various legal department functions, but also from its role in spreading awareness of the importance of respecting laws, which impacts the regularity of work within the faculty and reduces and even prevents the occurrence of legal violations. This, in turn, promotes the highest level of accuracy and regularity in work within the faculty.

Vision

Achieving excellence and developing work through mechanizing the search for cases and investigations and the work of the report in an automated manner, which reduces time and effort, speeds up performance, and raises the status of the administration among the various departments in the faculty of Science and outside it.

mission

– Protecting public funds and defending the administrative authority before all various courts, expert offices, and arbitration offices.
– Implementing the laws and regulations governing work within the faculty.
– Providing legal advice to prevent and even eliminate administrative violations by raising awareness among college staff. Similarly, highlighting weaknesses and attempting to address them.

Objectives

– Implementing the laws and regulations governing work within the faculty of Science.
– Participating in drafting laws, regulations, and decisions regulating work.
– Preparing the necessary and authenticated documents to clear the university of any legal action and appearing before various courts in lawsuits filed against the university.
-Spreading awareness of the importance of respecting laws, as this has an impact on the regularity of work within the faculty and reducing and even avoiding the occurrence of legal violations, which raises the level of accuracy and regularity in work within the college to the highest level.

Administration Members

-Handling lawsuits, appeals, and grievances, investigating senior management staff, conducting investigations, fatwas, and technical work, attending disciplinary councils, preparing draft contracts, and participating in committees inside and outside the university.
-Drafting draft laws, regulations, and decisions regulating work. -Discussing proposals related to not pursuing lawsuits, deciding whether to pursue them, reconciling, or waiving them by appealing rulings, nominating arbitrators, and notifying the Public Prosecution, the Administrative Prosecution, or the Central Auditing Organization, as appropriate, of crimes or violations uncovered through the department’s work, through special memoranda.
-Issuing decisions regarding the organization of records and books necessary for the department’s work, in accordance with work requirements and in light of directives, circulars, and publications received from the Inspection Department or the Legal Affairs Departments of the Ministry of Justice.
-Preparing the necessary and authenticated documents -Referring and supervising matters to the management members. -Supervising administrative and clerical work in the Legal Department.
Ms. Mary Marzouk Girgis

-Responsible for the duties assigned to him.
-Preparing the necessary and authenticated contracts, documents, and papers to clear the university of any legal action.
-Conducting investigations referred to him.
-Handling the cases assigned to him personally from the time of receipt until the ruling is issued, in accordance with Law No. 47 of 1973
-Monitoring the work of his assistants to ensure their visas are implemented immediately upon issuance and ensuring they are performing their duties properly.
-Attending the college’s tender and auction committees.

-Maintaining the Legal Department’s books
-Assisting the Director of Legal Affairs in organizing work, incoming and outgoing files, records, official documents, and cases, and ensuring interaction and cooperation with all external agencies.
-Implementing decisions issued by the department
-Maintaining all decisions, official documents, books, cases, and legal reviews in an easy and organized manner for easy access when needed.
-Monitoring incoming and outgoing mail
