International relations and cooperation

Public Relations and International Cooperation Unit

Unit Establishment

    • The unit was established by the faculty Council Resolution No. (388) held on July 14, 2009, approving the External Relations and Scientific Cooperation Unit.

Vision

  • Supporting the faculty in maximizing the benefits of internal and external cooperation and partnerships, and contributing to achieving the faculty’s vision of cooperation and partnership with faculties of science and medical sciences (human, veterinary, and pharmacy) both within and outside the country.
  • This is to enhance communication by opening channels of communication between students and staff members and concluding cooperation protocols.

Mission

  • This may contribute to increasing the university’s competitiveness locally, regionally, and internationally. The unit also welcomes the opinions and consultations of experts from various educational institutions and other sectors through the FACULTY Advisory Council, which then oversees the implementation of plans and regulations related to internal and external relations.

Objectives

  •  Fulfilling the faculty’s duties towards the nation through integration into community life, contributing to the development of scientific, social and economic aspects, and fulfilling the university’s duties as a member of the global educational community and by achieving a global reputation for the quality of its programs and graduates.

  • Providing students with greater opportunities for personal, professional, and academic development by establishing close networks with science faculties at local and international universities and other institutions.

  •  Planning and implementing local and international conferences, seminars, and workshops, establishing joint academic programs, and publishing in specialized and distinguished Q1 and Q2 scientific journals.

  •  Building cooperative links with many European, American and Asian universities, with which we work closely to ensure that students receive a distinguished level of education that enables them to compete in local, regional and international labor markets.

  • Updating joint academic programs to serve the faculty’s mission of becoming a leader among globally ranked science faculties, providing distinguished teaching and learning experiences for its students, and becoming a producer and disseminator of theoretical and applied knowledge.
