The Graduate Studies management at Faculty of Science, Sohag University, seeks to achieve the faculty’s mission and objectives, which are aligned with the university’s mission and strategic goals. One of the most important strategic objectives of the university and the facult is to encourage distinguished scientific research and scientific publishing, which contributes to the development of the national economy to become a knowledge-based economy ,faculty of Science is a pioneer and in the scientific research at the university level, distinguished by its diverse research specializations, the presence of a distinguished group of professors in all specializations, and the presence of research laboratories equipped with the latest devices and tools.
The faculty’s departments work to develop their programs and research plans in line with local, regional, and global scientific developments, ensuring quality education at the graduate level. The gaculty offers numerous specialized diplomas, as well as a distinguished group of master’s and doctoral programs, all of which aim to serve the community and meet its needs for development and progress.
It also seeks to support its graduate students with all its human and material resources. It encourages attendance at specialized conferences and seminars, holds numerous lectures and workshops to advance the research process, and encourages researchers to obtain research projects, grants, and scholarships to enrich the university’s scientific research system.
The proposed regulations for postgraduate studies based on credit hours system, which have been completed, and the faculty’s departments have introduced a number of new academic programs, whether through diploma programs or through master’s and doctoral programs, consideration has been given to adding new courses aimed at keeping pace with the development of global scientific research. The Department of Graduate Studies is currently developing the Graduate Studies administration in preparation for the digital transformation. The Graduate Studies website is also currently being developed to shed light on the development of scientific research within the faculty, its research groups, laboratories, and scientific equipment, as well as the research and scientific dissertations that have been completed, as well as the modern research plans of the departments, so that anyone who wishes to join postgraduate programmes from the country or from outside can know the human and material capabilities of the scientific departments.
