Bachelor <\/strong><\/p>

The study system in the department follows the faculty system, which is the two-semester system, but the chemistry program has been applied with the credit hour system starting from the academic year 2020-2021 . The chemistry program accepts students who have a general secondary certificate (scientific section) to grant the chemistry department a bachelor\u2019s degree in chemistry.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A practical training period is spent in one of the factories or companies related to chemistry for a period of 6 weeks after the end of the third academic year.<\/span><\/p>

  • A one-week scientific trip is organized at the beginning of the second semester of the fourth academic year to visit factories, companies and bodies related to chemistry, in addition to one-day trips that are organized for third and fourth year students.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAcademic standards<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t

    The chemistry program applies the National Academic Reference Standards (NARS)<\/span><\/p>

    1. General objectives of the chemistry program<\/span><\/li>
    2. Providing students with the knowledge and basics of chemistry in its various branches and refining the scientific and mental skills related to chemistry.<\/span><\/li>
    3. \u00a0Developing students’ skills to be able to use scientific foundations to solve chemical issues and to work safely in the laboratory.<\/span><\/li>
    4. Enable students to use scientific facts and theories to analyze and interpret practical results.<\/span><\/li>
    5. Enable students to use and apply information technology to collect, analyze and present chemical data by appropriate means.<\/span><\/li>
    6. Develop students’ appreciation for chemistry and its importance and applications in various fields (industrial – economic – environmental).<\/span><\/li>
    7. Enable students to deal with scientific sources of chemistry in English.<\/span><\/li>
    8. \u00a0Preparing researchers with high efficiency and the ability to innovate and innovate to continue in the field of scientific research.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/li><\/ol><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

        At the end of the programme, the student will be able to:<\/span><\/p>

        1. \u00a0Explains the basics of chemistry, the naming of compounds, their classification systems, and the units used in chemical issues.<\/span><\/li>
        2. \u00a0Explain the basics of physics, mathematics and geology.<\/span><\/li>
        3. It explains the different states of matter, the chemical elements, their properties, and the theories related to that.<\/span><\/li>
        4. Explain the basics and techniques used in identifying the composition and analysis of organic and inorganic chemical compounds.<\/span><\/li>
        5. Explain the different types of chemical reactions, their mechanics, and the kinetic bases by which they are carried out<\/span><\/li>
        6. Explains the composition and properties of different chemical compounds, methods of preparation and purification, and the relationship between the properties of atoms and molecules.<\/span><\/li>
        7. Explain chemical theories and their applications.<\/span><\/li>
        8. Shows the theories and methods used in interpreting and analyzing practical and theoretical data related to chemical subjects.<\/span><\/li>
        9. Explains recent topics in the field of chemical research and technological development.<\/span><\/li>
        10. Shows chemical subjects and their connection to other fields such as the environment and industry.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

            At the end of the programme, the student will be able to<\/span><\/p>

            1. Analyzes data and information to identify the chemical composition of compounds.<\/span><\/li>
            2. Apply information technology in dealing with chemical data.<\/span><\/li>

              4. The computer is used to analyze, interpret and display chemical measurements and results.<\/li>

                  A bachelor’s degree in chemistry is awarded after passing 4 full academic years distributed over eight semesters. A practical and written exam is held at the end of each semester.<\/p>

                  Chemistry Program (credit hour system)<\/p>

                  The list of approved hours has been implemented in the college since the academic year 2020\/2021.<\/p>

                  A bachelor’s degree in chemistry is awarded after passing 136 credit hours of academic courses. The study period for obtaining a bachelor\u2019s degree is four university academic years or when the student completes the number of credit hours required for graduation (136 hours) successfully.<\/p>

                  Level 1 (Freshman) from zero to 30 hours.<\/p>

                  The second level (Sophomore) from 31 hours to 64 hours.<\/p>

                  The third level (Junior) from 65 hours to 100 hours.<\/p>

                  The fourth level (Senior) from 101 hours to 136 hours.<\/p>

                  This level includes two compulsory semesters separated by a mid-year vacation. An intensive third semester may be offered during the summer period (summer semester) for a period of eight weeks.<\/p>
